We stated the night previous at a Ramada in Statesville NC. It was very clean and had excellent service. They also gave you a good breakfast with your room. It was $106 for a king size bed. The room and bathroom were clean, nicely decorated and spacious. For the same room (with king size bed), this Hampton had smaller rooms- especially their tiny bathroom-and gave you no free breakfast. Their price was $170 for the room.

Hotel itself is fine. Clean and quiet. However, I prefer Hilton’s because of their contract with Peloton. Came to the hotel and spent an hour with the front desk clerk trying to activate the bike they have had on premises for 2 years that apparently no one knows how to operate. The front desk clerk was very accommodating but was not trained how to get the bike operational. Came back for another stay 2 WEEKS LATER and the management still had not gotten the bike working. Pretty dismal effort for a feature the hotel is marketing. Edit: Yet another week later, bike still not activated. Front desk staff still clueless. I don’t blame the girl working late. She can’t know what she hasn’t been taught, but come on, its been a month.

I don't do many hotel reviews on Google. This may be my first. I travel quite a lot on business, so I stay in hotels fairly frequently. This Hampton is one of the nicest that I've ever stayed in. Not just nicest Hampton; nicest hotels. You really can't beat the location. It's south of Akron so it's very close to CAK Airport. It's not particularly close to Cleveland, but it's an easy drive to the southern and eastern suburbs. The quality of the rooms is superb: Clean, comfortable, and quiet. Very quiet considering how close it is to I-77. The beds were comfortable and the linens clean and fresh. But it's the PEOPLE here who made the difference. Absolutely wonderful folks who make you feel welcomed. It's these wonderful folks who prompted me to write this review.

Room issues. 2 in a row. First, plumbing, asked to be fixed when we left room, left for 5 hours , came back and wasn't fixed, had standing water in sink. Switched rooms, 2nd room was horrible with smell of smoking.Pool was closed as well. When you book a hotel with the expectation of swimming when you get there, indoor, and you arrive and can't, you should at least give me a discount, one of the reasons for choosing the facility was the pool. Do not recommend this facility.

This was the cleanest hotel room we have had in a long time. The king room was spacious! It had a couch, chair and coffee table size ottoman in the sitting area. Breakfast table with 2 chairs. Coffee maker, microwave, mini frig with a freezer. The bathroom was spotless! The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast offerings for any diet were available beginning at 6 AM. Always hot coffee, tea or hot chocolate 24/7 in the lobby. It was roomy and comfortable enough to invite an out of state sibling to stop by to freshen up before the surprise party. We will choose THIS Hampton Inn the next time we need a hotel in the Akron area. It is just SE of Akron within sight of the I 77 at the Arlington Rd exit. Literally minutes from Akron, Cuyahoga Falls, Canton, the Akron Canton airport (CAK) to name a few.
